I found this story depressing, at times confusing, and with characters I could not relate to.
The Virgin Blue, being Tracy Chevalier's first novel, isn't as compelling as The Girl with the Pearl Earring, still it was interesting and a good read.
While the book was interesting enough to keep me going to the end, I can't say I actually liked it.
