Entertaining and useful, January 22, 2006
This review is from: The Visual Thesaurus, Version 3 (CD-ROM)
I used this product extensively when it was still in beta, free on the internet. It was wonderful enough that I would pay the money to use it now.
It is color-coded by parts of speech. This is terribly useful. This displays words and their multiple meanings, and all words associated with a meaning. You can string through words just by clicking on them. The webs it creates can be spun around and adjusted for size. This is a much more entertaining and quick way to look up words than flipping through a thesaurus.
I even got students who couldn't care less about looking up synonyms to use this product. This is the only product for which I would recommend a child use a computer instead of a traditional paper version.
