Latest Updates

What's new in version 1.01
  • *Added the ability to import The Walking Dead Season 1 saves to The Walking Dead Season 2. For updating your current season 1 install to the patch which requires ~2GB free space 1. Delete downloaded Season 1 episodes to free up space a. You will be able to keep your save files for these episodes as long as you do not uninstall the base app b. IMPORTANT: If you uninstall the base app prior to patching and then launching the patched game, you will lose all saved data 2. Attempt to remove other apps until enough space has been freed up to download and install the patch Here is a walkthrough for someone trying to delete episodes (DLC): Please go to the Settings on your device, then open the Apps menu, and then go to WD S1 (The Walking Dead: Season One). Inside the App Info page you will see the space the application is taking up. The Base Application should be just over 1 GB in size (The App Category). The Data Category is where the extra downloaded episodes are stored. If you have successfully deleted the episodes, the Data should be around 60-70mb in size. If all of your episodes were installed, the Data would be closer to 1.4 GB. If you see a small number like 60-70mb, then your episodes were successfully deleted, and you should be able to force close the app, and restart it, and your episodes menu will no longer say 'installed' next to the episodes. If you are still seeing 1 GB for the App, and 1.x GB for the Data, then you will need to delete the episodes again. Please make sure when doing so, that you are waiting for the application to fully update/delete the episode before tapping on another episode to delete. This may take anywhere from 10-25 seconds.
  • *If prompted to update The Walking Dead Season One, you will be required to perform the same steps listed above.

5.0 out of 5 stars Telltale have made a game in The Walking Dead January 17, 2014
Verified Purchase
Telltale have made a game in The Walking Dead that helps redefine the Point & Click genre and bring into a more modern era. Alongside that they've truely mastered the art of 'choice'. Many games have attempted to bring the player choice and consequences, but few have managed to do it with great success. Most of the time the player is left with Ending 1 or Ending 2 even though they made 100 'crucial' choices throughout the game.

The Walking Dead, however, manages to really make the player feel that their choices matter, if not only in the game than morally and emotionally too. It achieves this by having a very story driven game that is supported by some of the best characters in a computer game. Characters that you don't really like (by design) due to their very human faults and personal baggage, yet as the journey progresses you become fond of them - they become part of your group.
That's when you know Telltale have you hooked in.

They manage to pull off The Walking Dead dynamic far greater, and with more ease, than the TV show has ever achieved in 3+ seasons (to date). Sure, computer games have the benefit of having no real watershed or TV Regulations to censor it's content; yet that's not what makes The Walking Dead game effective.
It's the high emotion dialect, the interaction between the characters and the observations you make as Lee (... and you will find yourself becoming Lee). All of this happens as a great underplayed soundtrack supports the drama, which at times pays a little tribute to previous Zombie Movie music (such as the electronic throbs of Dawn of the Dead's music).

When I look back I find no real fault in The Walking Dead, as long as you're aware of what you're letting yourself become a part of.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love Love Love this game!!! January 7, 2014

Ok so yes of course I'm playing it on Kindle Fire HDX, so if you don't have one don't bother downloading. As for the game itself, it's awesome. I'm addicted to this game, since you make the choices it is fun to replay and see the different scenes/outcomes based on the decisions you made or didn't make. I have replayed the whole game at least 5 times now and replayed certain scenes more times than I can count. You don't get to make all the decisions, there is a base story line that's unchangeable, for example, certain people die and there is no saving them, all you can change is maybe how or when they die or what your reaction is to it. That being said the first episode is free and after that you have a choice of paying 4.99 an episode or 14.99 for a season pass, which includes the special episode as well as the remainder of the season. Best deal is the 14.99, well worth it. I am a huge walking dead fan, this game foreshadows the t.v. show, so don't expect to be playing with Rick or Shane, you do get to see a couple of favorite characters make their start though. Also, and can't stress this enough, this game is NOT for children or people who can't stand to hear profanity. I would recommend using headphones if you have children around while playing, unless you are raising them to be sailors. Anxiously awaiting season 2..... please Amazon!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game January 8, 2014

This game is so much fun! The graphics are great, the story is good, and you get to make decisions that affect your story. If you die, you don't start all the way over, you just have to pay attention and not make the same mistake.

The graphics, story line and game play are all very well done. Timed responses make you think fast and a hard game to put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing game!! January 3, 2014

Guys, this is a great game, and the bad reviews your giving for compatibility are unnecessary, it clearly states it's a Kindle Fire HDX version, which means you wouldn't be able to get it on any other device. I understand your disappointment in this, but your reviews are irrelevant to the quality of the game and how it is. If it said it was for all devices, that would clearly be a problem, but as it is not for all, it is not one. But I myself loved the game and have enjoyed the series thoroughly.

Stuck in office behind drug cage in Vince's family Drug Store

Season Pass
I paid for it, and now it tells me that I don't have access to it. I'm really annoyed. It was nearly $15 for it, and I am not amused that I paid that much for a game that now isn't working properly. Don't do it! Don't pay for it, because this game does not work properly on a Kindle.
