Editorial Reviews

Cast and creators talk about sharing their world with the undead.

This William S. Paley Television Festival live event honors "The Walking Dead," the drama/horror series based on the graphic novels of the same name about a group of Southerners fighting for survival when the undead begin to walk the earth.

Michael Schneider (L.A. bureau chief, TV Guide) moderates the following panelists: executive producer and graphic novel author Robert Kirkman; executive producer and series creator Frank Darabont; executive producer Gale Anne Hurd; and cast members Emma Bell (Amy), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Laurie Holden (Andrea), Jon Bernthal (Shane Walsh), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori Grimes), and Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes).

The panelists touch on such topics as: differences between the TV version and Kirkman's comic book series; the Lori-Shane-Rick love triangle and why it "involves everybody"; and the deliberate avoidance of the word "zombie" on the show.

Questions from the audience then lead to a discussion of the following topics among others: the scene of Amy's "resurrection" after her death and Andrea's vain hopes that Amy could retain her humanity; the work of key special makeup effects supervisor Greg Nicotero and his "first gig" with George Romero; and Darabont's preference for focusing on emotion.

Fun interview show. It's a couple years old but still fun to watch. This is from their first season. Several of the cast are gone

4.0 out of 5 stars great start up to this series.... October 22, 2013
Format:Amazon Instant Video
great to see these actors out of character....too bad many of them have been executed from the show.... the director and writer are very gratuitous with their foul language , be prepared for your ears! I think that the actors studio series may do a better job....no one has explained about the English/Australian actors involved in this series....
