About the Author

As a writer, Yasheve Miller began his writing career for a collegiate newspaper. From there, he was hired as a writer for a fledgling magazine. He quit that and his day job to pursue marketing strategies for his first book. For a few years, he wrote part-time as a freelancer for various publications. Finally, he stepped out to start his own copywriting business for a global marketplace, to produce marketing material, organize branding strategies and ghostwrite non-fiction books. His passion for telling a juicy story led him back to the fiction arena to produce The War for Miami. Other books by Yasheve include Rigid and Moist.

I normally don't read crime and suspense books. I only read this one because one of the ladies in my book club knew the author and she wanted us to talk about it. I have to admit that I was compelled to keep reading after the first chapter. There are a lot of characters to keep up with though, I do think the author did a good job in making it easy to follow the different storylines. Every character has great qualities and terrible qualities at the same time. I identified most with one of the characters that had a small part in the overall scheme of things and her story really touched me. I found myself taking sides and turning the pages of a book that I protested and had no intentions of reading. Glad I did. Great change of pace for our book club. I can't wait for the next installment.

Simply Kick-[...]Awesome! Great Tension! Great Kill scenes! Too much manipulating and conniving going on from time to time for me, but the kill scenes rocked and made up for it!
