Book Description

Student artist Rosie had the perfect life living with Spencer until he is unexpectedly murdered and she is compelled to hunt for his killer. Soon the young woman realises she is at the centre of a dangerous mystery. Then another close friend is killed in strange circumstances, throwing her into a state of fear. Will she be next?

Follow Rosie's perilous journey from the extending shadows of her London life to the brilliance of the Devon coast and into the spiritual heart of Dartmoor.

The killer watches Rosie's every move as she struggles in a web of fear, control and tragedy. Finally, she turns to her new friends for help and together they risk everything to free themselves from the tightening grip of their enemy.

When Rosie's dreams collide with her everyday life, she is left wondering where the truth lies, with the living or the dead. Should she listen to her ghostly guardians when they issue their WARNING or should she believe the promises of the living?

5.0 out of 5 stars A dark tale August 18, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I found this book difficult at first but am so glad I persevered as it opened up into an incredible story. It was dark gothic and exciting. Some of the murders were very real, making you feel they were true. The dream was fascinating, and I loved the way it linked up with the mystery surrounding Rosie's life. I hated it when the book ended as it left me wanting more. This is a good story by an interesting author.

More About the Author

I was born in Hertfordshire but my parents had a desire to move house so every one-two years I found myself somewhere different. As this happened throughout my childhood I became familuar with many areas of the United Kingdom. I left home at sixteen for a beach in Cornwall. Then I found myself in London where I eventually attended art college. After being involved in the London art scene for about ten years, due to a string of events I left and arrived in Bristol.

Although I have been writing for pleasure and work for many years I have unfortunately not been in a position to make it my career. For the past eighteen years I worked as a Behaviour Mentor for the Local Education Authority supporting children back into main stream school who were experiencing Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. In addition to this, I was a single parent bringing up two boys on my own and studying for a degree in education.

However, prior to these particular roles, my life experiences were completely different and as I wanted to use many real events in my novels I felt that they shouldn't enter the world until I felt sure that my stories would not cause any issues to those closest to me or with my work colleagues.

Then recently, due to Government cut backs, my post was deleted and as my sons had stepped into their own worlds I felt that it was finally time for my voice to be heard and that of my characters.

Inbetween writing, drawing and reading, I enjoy interacting with nature or challenging it, body boarding, wild river/lake swimming, canoeing and walking over Dartmoor.

I would like to thank all those readers who have suppoted me in my endeavours. I believe as most people do 'that there is nothing better than a good story'. They are a bridge that transports us from our mundane lives into extraordinary rich and exciting worlds.
