Fascinating story about the Washington's family journey to freedom. John Baker spent over three decades researching the story of our ancesters who were slaves. This book is the product of his outstanding research. My great great great Grandfather is standing left on the front cover. John's writing is exciting, gripping, informative and should be read by all those who seek to understand Afircan American History. I look forward to reading through this book every year as we celebrate African American history. I thank God for John's distinguished work and the fruit of his labor. If you have not read it, buy it now you will not regret it.
