The Holy Spirit on the Move
 
     I had a few run-ins with the Holy Spirit long before I knew who He was.  I distinctly remember that one evening over 18 years ago I had an irrepressible urge to go to a church choir rehearsal. I was already drunk but I couldn't shake the urge.  It was the church I grew up in and the church my dad pastored many years ago, but church was the farthest thing from my mind. Before the night was over I was singing along with them and in spite of my state of mind I was invited to become a part of that choir. I didn't stop drinking but I did start going to church on a regular basis.  I couldn't help it.  I could not stay away.  After a year or so I went to a rehearsal on the night they were electing choir officers. The Cosby Show had just begun airing and I did not want to miss a single episode. There was no Tivo back then and I did not own a video recorder but I could not shake the urge to go to that rehearsal.  At exactly 7:40 everyone who was nominated for president declined. As the clock ticked I heard someone nominate me.
 I couldn't refuse.  I had to be in front of my tv by 8. I was elected choir president that Thursday night and in spite of my addiction found my feet firmly fixed on a pathway to salvation. Make no mistake about it, I resisted with all my might and tried to drown those feelings of guilt and shame in Budweiser. Still, I found myself with not only a Bible in my hand but also a message in my mouth.  I told the choir they had to research the Word so they would know what they were singing about. I didn't know then what had come over me but I now know that the Holy Spirit was wooing me or rather drawing me into my rightful place in God. It was just a short while later that I threw my hands up in the air and invited the Lord Jesus to come and live inside my heart.  I had no idea that I was getting a package deal that included God the Father, God the Son Jesus and God the Holy Spirit--I also had no idea that the same Holy Spirit who drew me in would continuously comfort me with His presence and guidance...

She is on a mission to preach a plain gospel and to deliver that gospel by whatever means and media God gives her access to. Teirrah McNair is a dedicated people builder with unstoppable energy and an outrageous sense of humor. She is a winner of the Indies Unlimited Flash Fiction Contest as well as the Western Access Video Excellence (W.A.V.E.) award.
Her poignant testimony of overcoming a lifestyle of hiding out, first inside her head and then behind a wall of addiction, eminently qualifies her to encourage and train others to boldly step into their divine destinies. She is an ordained Christian minister with a unique blend of skills developed over the past 20 plus years. She graced auditoriums, schools, churches, museums, theater and film sets internationally with her prodigious talent as an actor, workshop facilitator and motivational speaker.
