The contents of MILL CREEK ENTERTAINMENT's THE WAY WEST 50 MOVIE PACK and FRONTIER JUSTICE 50 MOVIE PACK make up their GUNS OF THE WEST 100 MOVIE PACK (it's the one that I bought!).

Unlike previous MCE and TREELINE boxes which consisted of flip-discs, their movies are now issued on single-side, dual layer DVDs. Transfer quality of these unrestored films depends entirely on source material. None are pristine studio quality but rarely are they so bad as to be unviewable. Certainly, the price is right for such a large offering of less-common works.

There's genuine obscurities among these vintage 1930s and 40s programmers as well as old faves like Bob Steele, Harry Carey, the Texas Rangers, Crash Corrigan, Tex Ritter, Hoot Gibson and Roy Rogers.

Parenthetical numbers preceding titles are 1 to 10 imdb viewer poll ratings.

I love these old Westerns, you can't beat the price for this collection. I'm looking to buy more of the same.

If you are a cowboy/western fan like me this is the movie package for you. This is a very good reproduction of some westerns of the 30's and 40's. The actor's were for the most part real cowboys and it makes the movies very authentic.
