I heard about this book from a friend that works in the financial services industry. He says this is a hot book in that field but could be applied to anything in life. I decided to read it(I am a stay at home mom) and found it to be a really eye-opening book. The idea of reevaluating your goals and plan every 12 weeks is really a wonderful idea. It seems so simple but it is something that very few people do. I have passed this book along to a few friends and they agree that it has really changed their thinking, we all are getting a lot more done in life thanks to the 12 Week Year.

Harnessing the power of The 12 Week Year really works. Effective execution occurs daily and weekly not monthly and certainly not over a 12 month annualized year. A year is now 12 weeks and every 12 weeks creates an opportunity for another year of focus and intentional action.
I have personally experienced an increase in accomplishing my weekly activities (both personal and business), more focus on priorities week after week and increased production in my business goals without working more hours. I've made more time for my family and personal pursuits and have more life balance in general. It has helped me define what's important...now!

Everything is very informative and well written being under 200 pages. No matter who you are, a stay at home mom (like another reviewer) or businessman , this book will open your eyes to how much you can improve, reach goals. work one week at a time, and establish a vision of yourself.
Overall, an excellent read for anybody.

"As you read this book, it won't take long for you to realize there's a lot more to be gained from us than we can fit into just 63 short pages." TRUE STORY. That being said, I can confidently give this book 5 stars for the concepts delivered and the inspiration it gives to get started on implementing the 12-week idea. If it was any longer than 63 pages with the same amount of content, the star rating would quickly diminish for me. This a very quick read and directs you to the source of where to get more information (if you so choose to) without feeling like you wasted the time it took you to read 63 short pages. It definitely gives you a different eye-opening perspective on effective goal-setting and time management.
