About the Author

Linda became motherless on Christmas Day in 1968, at nine years old. After becoming a teen mom at the age of thirteen, Linda could have succumbed to the woes of a motherless life. In this book, she gives a blatantly honest and detailed account of the woes of living a life without a mother and how her determination to do better later lead to her successes using her Power of Choice. A few of her triumphs include obtaining two degrees in Business Administration, working the same job for twenty-six years, a mentor to several teens and young adults including her own three sons, buying her first home in 1986, building her new home in 2008 just as the housing market was crashing around her, and she now owns LSMB Business Solutions, LLC., a business consultant firm. She continues to work in an office job and has worked since the age of 14. She has had a lifelong job of turning her lemons into lemonade…her story continues.

Great read!!
I really enjoyed this book! Going through life changing experiences and especially as a youth, it is often difficult for others to understand what goes on within and is often equally as difficult to Put it into words. The author did a great job telling her story, thoughts, emotions, experiences and inspirational moments! She did a great job sharing some of the things we don't realize become a part of us like vivid descriptions of people, places, actions, events and sayings and how they affected her.

The fact that it's based on true events, I'm sure that many can identify with one part or another of this story some way.

Just reading this reminds me how everyone we meet has the potential to impact us in some way but God has the final say! One thing for sure as included in the book: Jeremiah 29:11 is my all-time fav inspirational scripture too! Despite what you've been thru or what people do or say, the Lord has plans for me and I always remember that!

I've had the pleasure of knowing the author and have seen her mentoring and this helps me understand even more her passion for helping others!

Thanks for sharing!

I attended the book signing on yesterday(5/19/2013) and purchased the book, The Well Ran Dry: Memoirs of A Motherless Child. After arriving home from this GREAT book signing celebration, I decided to just browse through the book before I retired to my late evening of "chillin" and settling down. I started my review at the beginning of the acknowledgements and before I knew it, I had almost completed the reading of the entire book. I must say, without being a narrator(SMILE) this is one of the most compelling books that captured my attention. It had my emotions sad and then happy throughout the book. I am thrilled that Ms Murray Bullard shared her life experiences with the world. This book is essential for so many young girls and even ladies whose mother is no longer living. I highly recommend the reading of this book to any age or gender. I hope this book captivates your heart just like it did mine.

I really enjoyed reading this book because I am a close friend of the author. For the short time she lived in Marion County, TN we played together as children almost daily. Later in life we were reunited by working together at a major health insurance company in Tennessee.

The struggles she chronicles in the book are a testament to anyone facing the same or similar circumstances. Through faith and a network of the right people in your life you can emerge victoriously.

This book is a very easy read! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

This book is a road map on how to turn obstacles into stepping stones. The author takes you on a journey of life's ups and downs. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it to all mentoring groups. The author lets the readers now your beginnings do not have to determine your end. Great job!!!!

I received this book on 6/11/13 at 6:00PM. I could not put the book down. I completed the entire book on 6/12/13 by 8:00AM. This is truly a must read for anyone who is struggling to overcome life challenges. With a strong faith in God and determination, the author overcame obstacles which makes her a strong candidate to be used mighty by God. I have observed that in her business and relationships...This book is an on time masterpiece. It was published for such a time as this...Ms. Murray Bullard thank you for giving unto the Lord-for this is the Lords doing and it is marvelous in our eyes....WOW

The book was very touching, and drew me into the scenes as if the author painted portraits of her travels in life. The ups and downs, trials and tribulations through the eyes of a little girl who lost her mother at an early age. A young lady who grew to be successful because she chose to be more than just a statistic.

A true testiment that we are our only limitations.

I personally felt like I had lived some of these stories right along beside her, and that may be true because I am her first born son.
