The Whippoorwill is the best yet from Blackberry Smoke, the best band out there today. This album has it all - from rock to country to jam and most everything in between - and every tune could be a number one hit on its own, all things being equal. Pick it up; you can't go wrong with this record.

For any Southern Rock fan, this is a required album. Every song is a hit. They just keep coming. Musically, I think they fall between .38 Special, the Allman Brothers, and Lenard Skynard.

I saw Blackberry Smoke recently at a local festival (I admit I came to see the headliner, but these guys blew them out of the water!) and was amazed at the energy and talent they had. During extended solos they threw in some Allman Brothers and some Led Zeppelin as well as others. Can't say enough good things about their show, this album, and the band in general.

Smoke 1!

Picked up my copy of Whipporwill a couple of weeks ago at the Wilmington NC show and it hasn't left the CD player since! Every song on the CD is awesome, there are no "filler" songs on this album. Can't wait til BBS come back to NC

I've been waiting for a band like this to come along for a long time.
A perfect blend of rock and country driven by pure talent from all angles of the band.
Great vocals, great guitar, great bass and great drumming that is never overbearing, boring or reptative.
If you enjoyed the glory days of Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, LS, Blackfoot, mixed with a nice touch of outlaw style country.... check these guys out.
You wont be disappointed. Matter o fact I enjoy them just as equal.
I'm dissapointed that I cant see them on tour.... Guys, please come to Missouri next time!
A nice tour line up would be Shooter Jennings, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Blackberry Smoke.

If you harken back to the days when music was something felt deep inside and someone actually new how to put a song together, then you will really love this newest release from BBS. Little bit of Dixie was a great album and to follow it up with
The Whippoorwill is a major move forward for the boys. Putting two great studio albums back to back is no easy feat,
This album is a solid release with no weak spots. Climb up in your pick up, roll the windows down and remember
what it was like to sit back and just be taken away in good old American rock and roll southern music.
BBS put on a great show too and if you get a chance to see them live, do it. They'll be in Boston at the Paradise Feb 6th.

If you have their previous albums, there is zero chance you won't like this album. BBS are the best Southern Rock band, period. There are no worthwhile comparisons.

The album kicks off leaning a little more country then I'd prefer, but it gets right back on track with some good ole rockin riffs. Kick back with your favorite beer and crank this at all your BBQs. Anyone with a lick of musical taste and a penchant for rock music will love it.

From the lyrics to the musicianship top to bottom this is one of the greatest albums Ive heard in years. Its one of the very few albums out in which the lyrics actually show true depth and life experience. The music is written with soul and passion behind it. Its one of those albums that will be a go to album in your collection for years after you buy it. Definately a must have.

I had the pleasure of hearing Blackberry Smoke for the first time live on New Years Eve. I was immediately hooked! I have since seen them live 2 more times, and will see them twice more, by the end of 2012.

I have met the band. They are laid back, true southern gentlemen, who truly appreciate their fans.

I pre-ordered The Whipoorwill and couldn't be happier with this album. If you don't have this CD, you're missing out!

Buy it now, and spread the smoke!!
