At first, my 2-year-old, who ADORES the Wiggles, just found this video to be "eh". He'd kind of half-heartedly watch it, ignore it a lot, etc. I had to give it 3 stars originally. In recent weeks, both of my children have come to enjoy this video a lot, so I've edited my review to 5 stars.

The songs are all enjoyable, though (in my opinion only) not quite so catchy as the more traditional Wiggles tunes. My kids don't agree with this opinion; they love these songs just as much as the old ones. They bust into song and dance spontaneously a lot, and their latest choices of songs for busting into song and dance have been from this DVD.

The format is a circus theme. There's the usual host of Wiggles entertainers (Captain Feathersword, Dorothy, etc.). There are several talented circus entertainers, such as acrobats and trapeze artists. The set is bold and colorful--black background with rainbow-colored equipment.

I don't know what else to say about this, other than if your child doesn't enjoy it at first, give the video a chance; s/he might end up really enjoying it and dancing along with the Wiggles. However, if you really want a super-fun video with Sam (who replaced Greg), I'd recommend You Make Me Feel Like Dancin'. That DVD is more jazzy and instantly likable.

I know this review isn't that helpful, but I did want to change 3 stars to 5 stars, and let shoppers know that if they only have money for one Wiggles DVD, I'd pick You Make Me Feel Like Dancing instead.

OK, it's the Wiggles, so it is singing and dancing and happy times.

The set is marvelous. I love the black background with bright colors. Some of the previous videos, with computer backgrounds and the actors performing before a green screen, left us with staging that was too flat. Here they use the whole set, as they did in the earliest videos, and for me it was more cozy than crowded.

Alas, years after Greg's departure they are still searching for a center. Sam's voice is GORGEOUS, and he is personable, and a beautiful dancer. Actually, I enjoy watching him because of the principal Wiggles I believe he's the one with the most dance training. But Sam is a performer, whereas Greg was one of the producers, so while he is wonderful, he is not the same. He's even better than Greg in many ways, but he is not The Same.

The circus theme was wonderful for inspiring my daughter to move around, "I want to be an acrobat when I grow up!" The songs were catchy and fun, especially the ones about food. Loved the Food Man skit. The Wiggles have a way of making songs about healthful food seem natural, not preachy. (They're the reason my family eats fruit salad!)

Most important, my preschooler was up and dancing. A really good show.

Our kids watch something from the Wiggles every day, whether it be from their TV show or from one of our many Wiggles DVD's. Naturally, we added this one to our collection. So imagine my surprise to see how uninspiring this production turned out. The whole show was stuck in a small circular stage, and the colorful circus atmosphere clashed with the black starry backdrop and polka-dotted black floor. The songs were rather bland. They did the same gymnastic numbers as they did on their other recent DVD release, "The Wiggles: Big, Big Show!". And at times, the camera was 10-feet high and you would be looking down on the Wiggles at an awkward camera angle. This is nothing like their computer graphic enhanced DVD's, "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" and "The Wiggles Go Bananas!". It's more basic than "Hoop-Dee-Doo! It's a Wiggly Party", and that's going way, way back. I hate to do it, Wiggles, but I have to give it 2-stars. Here's hoping the next DVD production turns out better.

It's still the wiggles, so it's not BAD as a children's dvd (no adult-oriented content)but it just isn't as entertaining as the recent dvd's. My son is 15 months old and we buy him dvd's because he has had (and will have in the future) some surgeries. The wiggles have made recovery time so much easier- my son smiles everytime we start up "You make me feel like dancing" or "Go bananas" and really likes "Big big show" also. This one, he just seems to get tired of. It doesn't help that this one is heavily Anthony-centric, and we prefer more of all four of the Wiggles like on "Go Bananas"- especially Sam and Captain Feathersword. But the songs are not as fun or energetic as in previous dvd's and the performers don't seem that excited to be there. Add that to the same background throughout and mostly the same costumes throughout, and what is a short dvd suddenly seems like all the same thing over and over again. So, while this is not "bad", it was not a good purchase for me or my son.

I have to admit, I didn't think I was going to like this DVD. I'm firmly in the pro-Greg camp and, while Sam is a beautiful singer and fine dancer, Greg was my favorite Wiggle and the whole thing seems flat and uninspired without him. My 2 year old son, however, really enjoys this DVD. He is constantly asking for either 'kokorn' (Hot-Poppin' Poporn) or Hot 'Tatos (Hot Potatoes, a much better DVD in my opinion).

While my son took to this DVD right away, it took a few viewings for me to warm up to it. The staging is small and the camera angles are strange, with high views and the Wiggles looking up at us most of the time. The songs to me are hit and miss. The DVD starts off strong with the fun, catchy tunes "wiggly circus" and "hot poppin popcorn" (both of which I admittedly did not like at first but now find myself enjoying them) and then lags with a string of only okay songs but finishes strongly with "Murry's Guitar Saves the World", a catchy song with a fun dance going on in the background.

Overall, it's an okay video. It keeps my kid entertained without driving me insane, and that's what really counts. It's definitely not the Wiggles that I have grown to love, but, hey, they can't all be winners. I think there is enough entertaining on this DVD (with a pro-fruit and veggie/anti-sweets campaign) to add it to your collection.

Oh, and Wiggles, if you read these reviews...give poor Jeff a decent song. Both the earlier "Wake Up, Jeff" and the new "How Are We Going To Wake Up, Jeff" are just awful!
