The Windsor Player is a much appreciated break from over-produced studio music that has no soul.
Not just another clone of other music- every song is refreshing and new.
I wouldn't call it country so much as Western-Americana, a great CD to chill out and just enjoy.

I've been looking forward to this release for quite a while and it has been worth the wait! It's quite a pedigree of musicians on this CD. Troy Stewart (Tired Pony/Snow Patrol/Tim Burgess), Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Scott MacCaughey (Young Fresh Fellows/R.E.M.), Gregg Williams (Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris)
Richard Colburn (Belle & Sebastian) and Eric Matthews (Cardinal & Sub Pop artist), just to name a few.
The songwriting is pretty awesome and each song seems to sound familiar in an individualistic way. Tons of catchy hooks, melodies and riffs are all abound in this release.
I could go on, but do yourself a favour and check out this release. It's awesome.
