Book Description

"The Witch Who Made Adjustments" is a humorous and deeply heartwarming fantasy novelette of a witch who may not be as "terrible" as she seems -- a witch who came into a turn-of-the-century town, just a few days before Halloween, and changed the lives of the entire populace, and especially young Tommy, a hardworking boy, and his impoverished family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoy yourself! January 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
"The Witch Who Made Adjustments" is typical, wonderful Vera Nazarian: Surprising, funny, scary, never what you think it is, with a little bit of wisdom tossed in. I scared the cat when I laughed out loud in the beginning and I swear I didn't move an inch during some of the later sequences. This story is as bewitching as the main character is bewitched. It's $2.00 and you'll want to read it again and again. It is good for all ages, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars You think you know January 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
After a page or two of _The Witch Who Made Adjustments_, I thought I knew what was coming. I didn't. Yes, there is a Mary Poppins-esque touch to the storyline, but it's all the more magical and human than either P.L.Travers books or the Disney movie. Ms. Nazarian creates characters that one can neither love totally nor hate totally, characters who are, for a lack of a better word, real. You could meet these people, and you would like to, because they are so much like yourself. And after reading THHMA, you know that good things happen and can to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet April 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
A lovely story that will appeal to the young and those young at heart. A tale with a surprising twist in the end told in a refreshing manner. My only problem with it is that it is too short. I hope we meet the witch making some other adjustments somewhere else.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good read
I truly enjoyed this book. It is so true in so many ways, and yet many people probably won't get it. The meaning behind the story. It's great and I recommend it whole-heartedly.

This is a short story. It was... readable. I thought it started out very well, feeling like you were being told a story as a kid. Then it became very disjointed. Read more
