Enjoyed reading this after returning from a two week excursion down the east coast. After hopping around the Outter banks it was fun to imagine the areas where Claire and John played. I'm looking forward to reading more novels by Robin.

Altogether a delightful story. A dreamy and slightly mysterious setting contrasts with sharp, funny characters. When they get together around a dinner table the dialogue ranges from witty to downright hysterical. The more educated characters make the occasional literary reference, and the author is polite enough to explain them to us. She doesn't compromise her vision at the end, which is what makes the story pleasantly edgy. I can't say more without spoiling it. This novel is romantic, tastefully sexy, and the chapter titles alone will make you laugh aloud.

I really enjoyed this book. Not timeless prose, but really fun. This is a perfect "beach book." What's not to love about a writer who understands the proper usage of between and among? And can use gormless in a sentence? Check it out.
