Wonderful for word enthusiasts, May 16, 2010

I've always been interested in the origin of words and phrases, and that is what this blog gives you. It's a little unusual, and it took me a while to figure out how it works, so I'll save you the trouble... People go to the blogger's website and ask him to find the derivation of words they're curious about. He picks the ones he likes best, hunts for the derivations, and then releases a monthly issue that contains about 15 derivations. So, this blog is more like a magazine than a blog because you'll only get something once a month. On the first day of the trial you'll get the most recent issue. If the next issue is released during your trial period you'll get that next issue, but if the release date of the next issue doesn't occur during your trial period, you won't get anything at all for the rest of the two weeks.
The blogger uses humor often, so it's not just dry information. His sense of humor is like mine, so naturally I find him to be very funny. I like how he sometimes gets distracted by his own musings and ends up giving the derivations of one or two other words in addition to the one originally asked for. If you're into etymology you can hardly do better than this.
