They interrupted our rehearsal to put through a call from one of their members - an astronaut in Earth's orbit aboard the space station!

The book is a smaller sized coffee table book with glossy pages and a hardbound cover displaying them to full advantage.

This is a wonderful book, most of us will never get a chance to see the views that Jeff so professionally put together. It is a superb and compelling look at our world.

Astronaut Williams records in this well done book a sharing of what he termed "earth observation", photos of earth from space. In his mission he orbited the globe many times and so snapped many photos, which many grace this beautiful remembrance of that flight.

What is truly unique for this reviewer is that this photo/text expose of this earth observation is accompanied by thoughts from the Holy Bible, as Williams is a confessing Christian. Some of the truly unique and brilliant photos are some of volcanos erupting and the reporting of such to the Houston Mission Control, as well as forest fires. There are wonderful shots of cities around the world as well as ship channels in such as Kazakhstan, Venice, Italy, etc.

There was also surprise on Williams answer to the common question he gets: Do you feel closer to God up there?

The nice large format makes for great viewing and reading, and great for coffee-tables and gifting.

I ordered the book because the writer is a fellow Christian whose view (literally) would matter to me. The photos taken from the space capsule and inside the capsule are mind-blowing are mind-blowing. In fact, the photos from the capsule are an artistic triumph of God's incredible work. The text is beyond what this senior citizen could absorb, but I donated the book to our Lutheran High School and it will be used as a prize for a science competition.

Great book with incredible photos of the planet from the best vantage point - low earth orbit! Great life inspiring words and quotations as well. Highly recommended! Great for adults, youth, and children. COL Jeff Williams is one of America's most experienced space explorers and shares his unique perspective of the planet, one that very few have experienced, through his photography.

My family loves this book. The photos are simply fascinating and you can get lost in the wonder of this perspective from space as you pore over all the photographic details. The author's retelling of his time at the International Space Station is both educational and captivating. The author gives all credit for this awesome creation that is earth to God, with beautiful Bible verses along the way.
