Starting from the mid to late 60's Andre Norton has been a favorite of mine. Andrea L. Miller does have a point about the order of the stories or books in that I prefer to read a series in the correct order. I did a quick search and got a complete list of Andre Norton's works. I then compared it to the titles in the collection and found 3 series. Here are the series and titles in order of their published date.
Series: Draw Rennie - Date Published and Title: 1961 - Ride Proud Rebel!
Series: Draw Rennie - Date Published and Title: 1962 - Rebel Spurs
Series: Ross Murdock/Time War - Date Published and Title: 1958 - The Time Traders
Series: Ross Murdock/Time War - Date Published and Title: 1962 - The Defiant Agents
Series: Ross Murdock/Time War - Date Published and Title: 1963 - Key Out of Time
Series: Solar Queen - Date Published and Title: 1956 - Plague Ship
Series: Solar Queen - Date Published and Title: 1959 - Voodoo Planet

I first read Andre Norton when I was in high school. She wrote fast-paced, imaginative, interesting stories for young adults and adults. Please don't let my reference to "young adults" put you off. Some reviewer said of her, "She has never written a patronizing sentence in her life." That's one of the best descriptions of her writing I've seen. She always respected her audience, which means her writing is still as compelling to me today as it was when I was much, much younger (though for different reasons). I still enjoy her imagination and verve and am far more open to her themes. There's always an admiration and respect of nature in her works as well as a respect for -- and a bit of distrust for -- science and technology. I don't believe she ever wrote a bad or even mediocre story. All her works are at least very good and many are wonderful. This collection doesn't include her best stuff, the Witch World or Beastmaster stories, but it it does include some of the Time Trader stories and Storm Over Warlock. I also liked the early short stories included, especially "All Cats Are Gray." And it is seriously difficult to complain about the price. I found very few errors in the formatting, typos, that type of thing. The table of contents works well. I have no complaints and am more than happy to recommend this. Try the Kindle sample. I think you'll find that, if you like one of her stories, you'll like all of them.

I also recommend the Beastmaster Omnibus and the Solar Queen, though those are both more expensive ($9.99 each, last I checked). Also note that the Solar Queen collection includes 2 stories, one of which is also in this collection by Halcyon.

I think the First book I ever read by Andre Norton was Star Man's Son and i was hooked, though I never got into the Witch World series.

Andre Norton's scifi was of a different outlook on the future more of the people and her people not always walked on 2 feet or had verbal language, she dealt with ESP and bonds between unlike spcies communication thru telepathy and empathy of the races that came before the forerunners whose empires had turned to dust and only left traces and a few clues as to who what and why they where and what they did and that there were many forerunner races and empires.

imaginative intertaining and thought provoking reading.

I loved Andre Norton as an author and now that she has passed away, wanted to have her works on my kindle.

It would be nice to have someone edit this who has a clue as to what the author produced and in the order. It is a total jumble and the stories are all out of order. How hard is it to do a series in order insead of bits a pieces. A total mess.

I expected better from Amazon and this is a total insult towards the author's memory.

I enjoyed this selection very much as I am a long-time fan of her work. However, I was shocked and diaappointed to discover two things: 1.The collection was not ordered in line with the various story arcs in her fiction, and 2. There were too many duplicates between the three collections I purchased at the same time! [Not a deal killer concidering the low cost of them overall!]

As a young child I learned about Sci-Fi by reading the books written by authors like Andre Norton. I read everything she wrote and cherished the stories my whole life. When I first got my Kindle she was one of the first authors I looked up on Amazon. I still own all of the original paperback books from the 1950's but I wanted to read them on the Kindle.

This is one of the best complete collections of her works on Amazon but I purchased several just to make sure that I covered as many stories as possible. Her stories about time travel and outer space fueled the imagination of many young people.

Of this collection my favorites were:
The Defiant Agents
Plague Ship
The Time Traders
Voodoo Planet

They are all good stories and you will enjoy them all. She wrote so many good stories but this collection is just a start. I wish some of her other books were available in collections or even available in Kindle format. She wrote 161 books either alone or as a co-author.

Many of the stories in this book may seem dated but they are still enjoyable and they bring back good memories. My hat is off to the Queen of Sci-Fi, I still remember her contributions to my imagination from a young age.

If you liked classic Sci-Fi then get this book as you will enjoy it!
