2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly Formatted, and Contents Not Linked July 18, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Publishers need to learn how to link a table of contents so that it is highlighted on the Kindle Reader. Makes no sense to have to go to the beginning and search it out. This book suffers from poor formatting. I should have stuck to my guns and purchased the Bedford Park Books version to begin with. I have other works from them and, as it turns out, their version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's early works has a linked table of contents that I can navigate to from the highlighted link on the device and it is beautifully formatted to boot.

Also, it is cheaper by half as of this writing. If interested, you can order it here: The Early Works of F. Scott Fitzgerald (With Active Table of Contents).

3.0 out of 5 stars Less than expected November 1, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Fitzgerald's words create the most detailed and complete images in the mind. His skill was unmistakable, which should be the best reason to make sure that skill comes through in the digital domain as read on the Kindle. Unfortunately, this shoddy conversion does not even come close to giving these timeless stories a chance to work their magic in the 21st century. There are so many typo's that, in some cases, it is difficult to follow the story. There are innumerable cases where entire words are totally changed that make the meaning completely different. Some of them are so stupid that I found myself laughing. I highly recommend Fitzgerald's stories, just not this amateurish Kindle conversion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Shaky transcription of an excellent collection. July 17, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a collection of excellent works, however it appears to have been prepared for the Kindle by someone who poorly understood how to set up the software. The transcribed words are sometimes homonyms or misspelled and the table of contents is only accessible by going all the way to the beginning of the book. Otherwise, the content is excellent.

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
i was disappointed at first, cause the table of contents was not active. but i found it under "cover." so that makes navigation much easier and more pleasant.
great collection, just go to the cover to select the piece you want to read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to Navigate and Poor Format August 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Well, the stories are perfect... this rating is not for the stories themselves but for the format of this kindle edition.

This kindle title is poorly formatted. I agree with the rest of the reviewers. It is a huge title and the navigation is not easy. Also many typos. You cannot go to the table of contents and I did not find any table of contents.

There is a much better version that even include more stories (45 stories as opposed to 21 in this title) and for a less price even (0.99$ instead of 1.99$). My recommendation is to get this title instead The Works of F. Scott Fitzgerald: 45 Short Stories and Novels . It has an active table of content which is also linked at the start of each chapter... so you can go back any time with one click... There are also 45 stories; did not notice any typos and has a good NCX table of contents... I will go for it and give it a 5 *

3.0 out of 5 stars F.Scott Fitzgerald June 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It is nice to have all these works in one place, but I find there are an enormous number of typos. One can rhyme everything together, however.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this book March 24, 2013

There is no table of contents or any other way to find any of the books, other than paging through from the beginning.

3.0 out of 5 stars his less famous work early work September 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
His best stuff has to be payed for which I wasn't aware of when I bought the product. It needs a disclaimer. The title makes you think there are several books and there are on two.
