This is a good translation of Nietzsche's works. The book is free and it covers the works most frequently referenced in a philosophy class.

If I'd have to choose 10 books to take with me on a desert island, Nietzsche would be the first. I bought the digital version of the Works of Nietzsche for my Kindle but I also have a "Portable Nietzsche" on paper which I took around the world during my travels (along with a copy of the Odyssey) which I still flip and browse for advise. The dog-eared pages, full of personal annotations, soaked and swollen with the salt and sand of my wanderings, still retain the brilliant light of the great master. Nietzsche's sharp visions might be controversial and not suited for the wimp, but nobody can argue about his honesty.

Happy to have this in electronic for so I can carry it with me when traveling and have something non-technical to read that provides some solace to my non-existant soul.

Overall I'd have to say I was disappointed with this book but not for contents sake. There were some serious grammatical errors on the part of the translator which forced me to find a better translation and it was a free one at that.

Nietzsche changed my way of viewing existence. Must read !!!
Followed by Rand, Rothbard, von Mises and, of course, "THE MARKET FOR LIBERTY" by the Tannehills !!!

Anyone who is a free thinker will be impressed by his logic. He puts morality and religious belief squarely on each person's ability to determine for themselves

This collection of his works is interesting as a introduction to the writings of a man who seems to be a contrarian in so many respects. It seems to me that his goal was to expose to his readers the absurdity of conventional (non)thinking and generally accepted prejudices and dogma. I think I understand some of what he says. Maybe I'm wrong!
