1.0 out of 5 stars Unsearchable text! October 3, 2012

The book's text is not searchable. I wish they'd warn customers about that before making the purchase. It's the only reason I bought the Confessions.

I bought this on the recommendation of my professor when I took a class on the age of Enlightenment. I am working on an MA in European History. This book was a helpful addition to the required texts for the course giving me additional insight into one of the main Philosophes of the age.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every politician should be required to read these words! February 13, 2013

If today's politicians read and understood these foundational principles, we would cease to see them misunderstanding the basis of our Constitution and the reason for the need of a sound liberal arts college education.
