4.0 out of 5 stars Early, less famous works August 20, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a good buy, but notice that because of copyright law there are none of the books for which Virginia Woolf is famous nowadays, like TO THE LIGHTHOUSE or MRS. DALLOWAY or ORLANDO. JACOB'S ROOM, the last book included in this collection, is the first one in which Virginia Woolf began to write in the way that was to make her one of the leading modern authors. At $2, you can't go far wrong, but be afraid of this Virginia Woolf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great January 14, 2013

I love Woolf. She requires that you pay close attention and she is always mocking superficial people who lead the lives others want for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Virgina Woolf's Literary Gifts February 26, 2013

Virgina Woolf's writing talents are superbly displayed. She grants us a splendid view of the world of the psychotic. Her abilty to create characters and emotional realms is unequalled. If you love fine writing, you will read all of her work.

5.0 out of 5 stars the works of virginia woolf February 14, 2014
By Carol
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What a bargain...a whole collection of Virginia Wolfe, beginning with her first novel. including the lecture of a room of one;s own, up to her last works. With all this in my pad I can go back and forth, read woolf;s complete works, compare her style growth, and the evolution of a brilliant mind......

which is the point of a diary. I'm a big V.W. fan and it's interesting to go through the anguish and euphoria of the creative process, as a voyeur.

2.0 out of 5 stars Major Virginia Woolf novels not included December 1, 2012
By suefein
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When I ordered this package of 12 novels, I assumed that all of her novels that I had not yet read would be included. I admit I did not count the number of novels she wrote before I placed my order. But To the Lighthouse and Orlando are not included, which are the two I really wanted, so I feel somewhat misled by the marketing.
