Skillz continues to set himself apart from the mainstream, and when I say apart, I mean above. I have to say I liked the overall production of Million Dollar Backpack, Skillz' previous album, a little more, but The World Needs More Skillz still gives any fan of this artist what they're looking for. I also like the electonica background music he uses with some of the songs, combining it with hard driven baselines. I'm not too familiar with the late D.J. AM, but Skillz' tribute song to him almost makes me feel like I know him personally now. Skillz has a way of touching on world issues without touching on them. It's almost like he's talking in code, although I don't think it's intentional. I just think its his style of artistry. You can think of any issue and know where Skillz stands on it without him having said a word on it. I think that's part of the foundation that is hip hop. Skillz style of delivery is so hard core that it's as if he's saying a thousand words with one. Skillz could do a more gangsta album and it would go platinum overnight. But he does his own thing instead, raw hip hop over innovative beats. The World Needs More Skillz, and you need more Skillz in your CD player or playlist. This album is a must if you've enjoyed any of Skillz previous work.

BEST ALBUM FROM SKILLZ( I'm not MAD NO MORE ) SO FAR

WE SEE YOU SHAQWAN

** TIME 4 THE 2010 RAP UP *** R.I.P. DJ AM & GURU of GANGSTARR **

*** WOW ..man wow,IF HIp-Hop only had more SKILLZ.. This Is his best album so far track 4 track.. LYRICS r tight , concept is strong on songs(well thought out)Beats are Refreshing and new.. ( samples a minimal)

If KRS/ RAKIM/ SLICKRICK / B.D.KANE/ KOOL G RAP were the greatest Mc's of the 80's
then " SKILLZ " is this decades best above Kanye & Eminem

**** THIS ALBUM WONT GET AIRPLAY OR PROP ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ( just like artist like Jean Grae)

This particular album was a pretty good one. I personally don't feel that it was his best work to date. I think the Million Dollar Backpack had better production, lyrics, & featured artists. If u like Skillz, which I do, I think u will learn to accept this one. Overall, his lyrics are on point & he's a great storyteller. He also does a tribute to the late DJ AM on one track. I think his next album will be even better. On a scale of 1-10, I'll give it a 7.
