Since there is no track list as of this writing I'm including one for you to check out what's on this CD:

1) The World Part I
2) American Soviets
3) Liquid Sky
4) Radioactivity Normal
5) Don't Kill the Rainforets
6) United States of Europe
7) Conquestadores
8) Orient Express
9) Made in Russia
10) Heaven Closed
11) The World Part II

If you're a fan of CCCP and their hits like American-Soviets and United States of Europe then this MIGHT be worth checking out. I don't know the whole story on this CD, but it appears that the boys decided to re-record some of their most popular songs and put them on this CD. Are they remixes? Well... not really. Most of the songs do sound very different on some fashion, but not like they were tricked out or anything.

Take for instance American-Soviets. It seems all the notes are in the right place, but the sounds are a little different and maybe some notes and instruments were added here and there. The singing style is also very different. What you end up with is still a good track. Just not the one you grew up with on the dance floor.

I am not completely familar with all of their music so I can only say this for about maybe half the tracks on the CD. Some songs, like American-Soviets, sound completely revamped. Others, like United States of Europe, sound very close to the original with just a few changes. In the end it's still a good album. My favorite CCCP songs (American-Soviets and Orient Express) still sound great. Here is a breakdown of some of the notable tracks:

THE WORLD PART 1 and 2: Basically filler. Some ambient and industrial noise to introduce and close out the CD. Nothing to go nuts over, but at the same time nothing to throw away either.

AMERICAN-SOVIETS: When I first heard this track (not when I got the CD) I thought it was a really good live set because it sounded too different from the source material to be a remix. Ultimately I don't think it beats the original recording, but it sure does have enough going for it to be a favored alternative mix.

DON'T KILL THE RAINFORETS: The music is great and expansive, but the lyrics are stilted. There is no structure to the singing... as if he is just singing a statement he read. A bit on the preachy side as well. Still like the song though.

UNITED STATES OF EUROPE: I can't tell the difference musically other than the fact this version gets right to the point better than the original. As a matter of fact I like this one better than the original.

ORIENT EXPRESS: The singing is more in the forefront on this version and he sings the song very differently than the original. Still this one is very true to the original, which is good considering this is my favorite CCCP song. The Special Mix is still my preferred cut of this song, but this one is a definite winner.

HEAVEN CLOSED: Is kind of like a ballad and it does have that 80's underground feel to it. Nice song.

Getting ANY recording of CCCP on CD is a challenge for most people. If you find this CD in good condition and at a fair price don't hesitate to get it. It might not be the original recordings, but it's the same old band simply making their songs all over again.
