I read this book as a child. I felt it was a very odd story. Wuggie Norple and his family lead strange lives. However, I liked it. I felt it was funny and read it many times growing up.

Why is this book out of print? it is a wonderful creative story about kids giving crazy names to beloved animals who keep changing.
