"The YOU Plan" really lays out the blueprint for getting closer to what you want career-wise! I found it to be a great tool - full of insightful observations and refreshingly easy to incorporate strategies. It really helped me turn the tables with my work life and allowed me to focus on my competitive skills and values.

This is a new perspective to making a new you in a career difficult world. You will find yourself and the ability to sell yourself into a new job before you know it happened. Giving credit to the author for his insight and well put together informational career directions. I bought two of these and gave one to my sister and she shared it with her family, but it was helping her make a badly needed change to her career and job which was going down hill, not because of what she was doing, but short sighted company owners and managers to see beyond the needs to support their customer base. She probably made the best change in 24 years into a positive direction and income increased as well. If you are looking for results, this may help you make that change in YOU. This may be the mirror you have been looking for.

The You Plan was a really great tool to help me define what is important to me and where I want to go in life. While you might think that you can just do this yourself, the book kinda guides you along this process and is more like a workbook than a boring self-help book with endless text. You read a section and then apply it to yourself. I think that this book is perfect for new graduates (high school or college) who are still finding their way in the world.

Easy, fun read that offers practical, straightforward advice for the job seeker or person dissatisfied with their career. This book is filled with self-analysis worksheets and charts so you can determine your values, passions, and other vital components to a career. It will force you to take a step back to evaluate your assets and take some time for introspection. Woven throughout the book is information on how to network, how to leverage social media to promote your brand, and excellent real world examples of people that have followed something similar to his VIPER plan and succeeded, from Rachel Ray to the owner of Zappos. Highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed the book, and had the chance to meet Dr. Woody at an event as well.

His approach to helping you build your personal "Brand" is well thought out, and this book and method are a great place to start your marketing or branding campaign (even if you are just going back and revamping an outdated approach).

This book will get you in the appropriate mindset to accomplish your goals and take advantage of all of the opportunities presented you, and I would highly recommend it for anyone who does not think they have the appropriate personality or mindset to go out and sell themselves.

The goal of The YOU Plan is to get you out of the "hot seat" of unemployment and into the driver's seat. It's a great tool for refocusing your job search by helping you clarify what you want and what you bring to the table.

I love this statement from the book, "Challenging times require creative thinking." Dr. Woodward explains how you can keep up with the challenging job market by developing an entrepreneurial spirit. He suggests creating a tailor-made plan that involves all of your greatest contributions, passions, and values. A plan that you are excited and willing to follow.

I'm always more productive (and end up with the results I want) when I have a clear and flexible plan in place to follow. Dr. Woodward provides the framework to create such a plan for designing your career and it's full of insights and space to reflect. His claim that having a great career starts with you makes so much sense after reading this book.

Great fit to today's management style. An extremely well-written -and apropos - guide for the up-and-coming (or want to be) young exec. Also worth the read for us older guys who may need a little insight about our management style and motivational reasons. Sound logic. When you read it you will wonder,"why didn't I think of that?" Dr. Woodward opens our minds and allows us to recognize our real potential. Lots of self analysis fill-ins so the reader can compare where they are now and where they could be. Woodward's book is either a quick read -if you think you know it all -or a good study book for self actualization. (Hope I read it for the latter!!).
