About the Author

No one knows much about Reepah Gud Wan, who lived before the 10th century in China and Japan, except that he was a legitimate Buddhist monk who tired of the inability of his students to grasp the essence of his teaching. In order to shake them up, he introduced the Zen of Farting, expecting his students to see the joke, laugh at it, and then understand his Buddhist teachings better. Unfortunately, they failed to get the joke--and zen was the result. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

When I was wee, I never imagined that I'd become not a fart connoisseur, but a connoisseur and consumer of fart books. And this fart book is one of my faves. I also quite like "Walter the Farting Dog" and "It All Began With a Bean."

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Collie Mom VINE VOICE on October 22, 2014
Format: Paperback
I have always wanted a spiritual guide to flatulence. Ask anyone and they would tell you, "Yes, Collie Mom has prayed countless rosaries and lit thousands of candles to come across a definitive work on faith-filled personal tooting."

I felt a disconnect in my soul after eating chili and cornbread. Now after ripping through this (pun intended), I don't have to hold it in. My farting has a higher purpose--not only to relieve stomach pressure but can now, in my own small way, contribute to global warming and widening the hole in the ozone layer.

This book is amazing. I got it for a present for my dad and he loves it. It was in great condition and didn't smell too bad either.

Format: Paperback
Unlike other fart books (and there are quite a few), which are mostly filled with dry facts and anecdotes, The Zen of Farting is full of allegory and a unique brand of wisdom. Definitely a *cut above* the *other* F books...
