ALL NEW content on Google+, Facebook advertising, SEO, and more!

Social media is a crucial tool for success in business today. People are already talking about your business using social media, whether you’re using it or not. By becoming part of the conversation, you can start connecting directly to your customers, as well as finding new ones, easily and inexpensively spreading the word about your products or services.

But social media marketing isn’t like traditional marketing—and treating it that way only leads to frustration. Let Shama Hyder Kabani, social media expert and president of web marketing firm The Marketing Zen Group, teach you the “zen” of social media marketing: how to access all the benefits of social media marketing without the stress!

With a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Chris Brogan, The Zen of Social Media Marketing outlines the most popular social media tools, from Facebook to Twitter to LinkedIn, and teaches you how to use them, step by step. Kabani provides proven strategies for success from the businesses she works with every day, along with shortcuts and tips to help you make the most of your time and energy.

This 2012 edition includes the latest Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn updates, along with new information on Google+, social media advertising, and more.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Social Media Examiner gives this book 5 stars." - Social Media Examiner (in reference to 1st edition.)

"She provides detailed instructions for launching social media campaigns and sound guidance for fully leveraging and optimizing search engines, web sites, and blogs. VERDICT: Kabani’s assertion that this is 'the last social media guide you’ll ever need' has merit, as anyone purchasing this also has access to a continually updated online version. Highly recommended for anybody with anything to market online—including him- or herself."

5.0 out of 5 stars A Marketing Team In A Book March 19, 2012
Format:Paperback
We all want to connect with our customers and clients in a meaningful way online, but knowing how to do this across the different social media platforms is tricky! Thankfully, Shama has figured this out for us. The Zen of Social Media Marketing is packed full of tips, shortcuts, and step-by-step business savvy that you can't find anywhere else.

As the owner of a marketing business myself, I consistently reference this book for new ideas and strategies to use with my own clients. Each time I pick up this book, I have to put it down almost immediately so that I can get started implementing! There's so much juicy material in this book that I just bought the audiobook as well, so that I can be on the go and listen to it again and again.

Whether you're a solopreneur looking to grow your own business, or a marketing director for a large corporation, you'll get a lot out of this book. For small business teams, it's like having your own marketing team in a book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read for the Social Media User of All Skill Levels! February 28, 2012
Format:Paperback
Shama has done an outstanding job of clearly and concisely explaining how each of the social sites should be used effectively. As COO in a large financial firm I constantly work with social media on a daily basis. I am convinced after reading the book and using her strategies that not only does Shama articulate and understand social media marketing but she knows what it takes to execute in order generate leads, sales and positive exposure for any business. This a great read for a plane ride and extremely enjoyable!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great info...but social media has already changed September 19, 2012
Format:Paperback
I wouldn't call myself an expert at social media because who really is? It changes every day. Overall this book has great tips and gives a really good insight of what you can expect from being on social media as a business. Some of the data is not up to date since the book is from 2010 and so much has changed in just two years. But put very simplistic and makes it easy for someone to launch social media themselves. Also has great insight from others in the industry or who have used social media.
