Wow. I ploughed on with the book to find it ends on a cliff hanger. Well to be honest I saw the ending coming about 10 pages earlier.

Terrible writing, awful, and I mean god awful dialogue between all the characters.
All kinds of nonsense dialogie between them during supposedly tense action scenes.

So many pages taken up with banal conversations, did I mention the god awful dialogue? Just to make sure this sinks in, its bloody awful.

Why keep referring to the undead as zombies? "Quick, watch out for the zombie on your left" "there's too many zombies"

Imagine if you heard that in the walking dead??

And the teenage slushy romance? It seemingly takes place over weeks as its clear everyone falls in love with each other, including a guy who wants to date a girl dying from a bite. Christ that hair dialogue between the two was toe curlingly bad. Toe curlingly may not be a word, but neither is there're and that was in this book.

Also the action parts were poorly explained, hardly had a clue what was goin on as most things made no sense. Certainly felt like the author was about 13 herself

I won't be getting the next one as the characters were all so bloody wet and annoying I was hoping they'd be killed in some horrendous way everytime I turned the page.

Last time I trust amazon reviews on face value. All the 1 stars hit the nail on the head with this book. Its essentially the zombie version of twilight. If that's your thing then go for it. Anyone hoping for something a little more gritty as a post apocalyptic zombie book should be should swerve this. I only gave it one star because I couldn't give it zero, or minus.
Sorry Chrissy, you may be a nice lady, but a zombie author you ain't

This is my first review, but I felt I had to write it. I am a real lover of zombie lit, but this book had SO many inconsistencies in it that it made it difficult to read.....a jeep with a trunk? Filling up balloons with flour to distract zombies when you're about to be attacked? (Ain't nobody got time for that!). Just crazy inaccuracies and unbelievable story turns. It reminded me of stories I've read that were written by my middle schoolers. I won't be following the series, for sure. Very glad it was free....and the reason it got 2 stars instead of one. Someone needs to hire a good proofreader for MANY of the books I buy on Kindle/amazon. Find it hard to believe how many of them make it to this point with so many mistakes.

So disappointed - I was looking for something more like the Walking Dead novels. This book is just silly and inane, with ridiculous dialogue (really?? you actually have a character refer to the zombies as "those numbskulls" ????? Please ...). It should be rated for age 13 and under so adults don't waste their time. Sorry :(

There's no reason to read this unless you're 12 yrs old or younger. The limited range of the characters and the laughable dialog would suit that age range, but it's definitely not for people who can actually read or would like a story that's interesting. There are very few books in this world I can't manage to finish, but this is one of them. It's not worth it.

This book is juvenile at best. The characters are weak lacking in structure. Sometimes I didn't know who was speaking because the characters sound similar. Their dialogue is not thought out. The storyline is is not smooth, but has breaks in it where useful information could have been narrated. The details are minimal. I could not get a clear picture of any of the locations. The idea is there but the execution is deplorable.

I could not make it through the second chapter. I love the Zombie genres, but this book is unreadable. The story is slow, the characters are not interesting and the dialogue is laughable. It’s my fault for not “Looking Inside” first.

If you have a thing for zombie books, if you loved the movie "Zombieland" or the TV series "The Walking Dead" than you will be mad about "The Zombie Chronicles (Apocalypse Infection Unleashed Series)" by Chrissy Peebles.

The first chapter starts the action with Dean and his date riding a Ferris wheel when zombies storm the fair. Fast forward to a year in time where people are trying to survive. Dean, along with his brother is trying to save Val, the sister they knew nothing about. Dean has an experimental cure for her but the catch is he has to wait for her to turn before administrating said cure, but in the new world of `Zombie land' once someone has been infected then they are put to death before they have a chance to turn and infect others. Right before Val is slated to be executed Dean sneaks her out of the quarantined, top-security detention center to await her turning. Along the way they rescue a couple of girls, fight off numerous zombie attacks and just try to survive long enough to administer the cure that could save their sister.

Chrissy Peebles has outdone herself again with "The Zombie Chronicles (Apocalypse Infection Unleashed Series)". With this third series she has shown that she is a truly gifted, multitalented novelist. If this is the first book that you have read by Ms. Peebles than do yourself a favor, get back to the Amazon website and get yourself a copy of all of her books. Every one of the books in each of her series are different but highly entertaining and once you start one of her books you will not want to stop reading until that last page is turned. I started this book in the morning and before it was bedtime (to my disappointment) I had finished it. It was that difficult to put down. This is one author that will surely become a favorite of yours.
