5.0 out of 5 stars The third Basic Instructions book is a riot! April 26, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I got into Basic Instructions a few years ago. Dilbert's author, Scott Adams, mentioned how much he enjoyed BI and encouraged his readers to check it out.

Under the typewritten, apparently-serious instructions on each panel is a story that somehow goes horribly off the rails. This third installment includes all my favorite characters--Ric (both versions), the Moon Emperor, Rocket Hat, Mullet Boss, Angry Customer, Omnipresent Man, the Knifeketeer, the Judger, and, of course, Scott and Missy. Also, Jenkins is starting to come into his own. There are also a few surprise extra features at the beginning and end of the book.

Scott Meyer's humor can be subtle and dangerous. Don't sip a beverage while reading or for a minute or two after.

I think most of these are already available free on the Basic Instructions website however the addition of the footnote style comments definitely boosts the value of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Basic Instructions for a quick does of funny! May 15, 2013
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I read many, many webcomics, but I must admit that some lack a consistent hilarity. Scott Meyer does more than provide consistency, he manages to say everything we want to about jobs, friends and other relationships while making it laugh-out-loud funny.
The curse of the Masking Tape Mummy is the 3rd collection of his comics and if you haven't checked out the other two you're missing out.
Don't miss out. Seriously, go get this book!
