Falling, still falling. Percy had never felt so scared in his life. Now here he was falling toward all the monsters he had killed. Percy pulled Annabeth closer, as she cried endlessly into his chest. His main goal was to get out of Tartarus alive and of course to keep Annabeth safe. While he was falling Percy couldn't help but remember the first time he was pulled close to Tartarus. He was 12 then and he almost fell in, now every demigod's worst nightmare was coming at him. He was trying to figure out a plan to get out alive. If he was down there would the monsters he killed die or just stay in Tartarus still. Gods, he thought, looking down below him, is that ground? Suddenly the impact struck him intensely and the pain was everywhere. Annabeth let out a loud scream full of pain, and Percy pulled her closer. His vision was still blurry but he saw the giant spider lady behind Annabeth and quickly killed her not knowing if she would reform. Percy sat there shocked and then blacked out.
