I enjoyed this story and the illustrations. It's very interesting, has a good rhythm, and is good to read aloud.

Spoiler alerts -

Just a couple of notes about why I have subtracted one star. On day eight, the author needs to correct a couple of errors. "Your all to late" should read, "You're all too late." On the next page, the word "celebrate" should be spelled "celebrate." (I looked, but did not find this to be a English spelling, so I apologize if I'm incorrect.) Since the story is for children, it's very important to correct these errors as soon as possible.

By the way, I thought the author was going to answer the riddle in the story because he wrote the cooks were making marmalade. (The word "orange" does not rhyme another word in English.)
