Editorial Reviews

Deluxe CD/DVD live release from the original shock rocker. The Theatre of Death Tour was a concert tour by Alice Cooper that began on July 31, 2009. The tour consisted of 11 legs spanning across North America, Australia and Europe. The tour incorporated a heavy use of theatrics and stunts performed by Cooper himself and a number of actors, including his daughter.

I was lucky enough to see Alice on this tour just two months before in Pompano Beach Florida and I was positively blown away at his energy, and this terrifically tight band. My girlfriend and I brought our handheld cameras and grabbed some of the great bits. I so hoped that a copy would come out someplace...

Well, here is the DEFINITIVE professional version. As a long time Alice Fan I've seen Alice make multiple tries to recapture some of the glory of the early 70s, and his live peformances have ALWAYS delivered, but sadly his place in rock history, and the respect that comes along with it is often lost on the public! Just 5 years ago I saw him play in a room that holds 4000, but merely 300 or so showed up - but he still played like there were 40,000 in the room...if you want a taste of the greatness that IS Alice Cooper; I highly recommend this DVD/Blue Ray...there are lots of hits here, seamless transitions, and "Killer" quality...ps; it' good to see him getting the nod from the Rock 'n Roll hall of fame finally...and even great to see his shows filling up...Rock on Master Shock Rocker!

I gave this video a 5-star rating, as it is Alice at his best ever. He's as much actor as singer, and it's proven in this program. Age has not diminished his talents, and he gets more detailed in the presentations every tour. He can do the same songs, but the way he does them each year is different. The best in this video is "Nurse Rozetta" and "Is It My Body". Alice does his craziest show ever, and I love these. I had to miss the tour that year, so it was a treat to get this on video. If you're a die-hard Alice Cooper fan, this video is a must! Get it while you can!

I actually caught this tour in South Bend in 2009 with one of my sons. I hadnt seen AC live scince the Welcome to my Nightmere Tour back in 75. I was really looking forward to seeing him again but wasnt sure he would still have it. When he came out on stage in a glittering coat and top hat poised on a stool, as the curtain dropped to Schools Out, I heard some one yelling whooo hooo at the top of there lungs and that someone was me. Two songs in I knew we were in for a treat and even though my son has different music tastes, he was blown away with the expert showman AC is and his tight band. I purchased this cd dvd combo as soon as I saw it available and it is excellent. The camera work is clear and not shaky and
the music comes across on my surround sound just like the concert I went too. This is defintely a must have, especially if you have not seen him perform in a while, he still is THE MASTER SHOWMAN!

If there is website that lists where the dvd performances are listed as to the number of units sold for this Alice Cooper Theatre of Death performance and others. I want to find out what the sales are as pertains to the actual live performances that he did since the above reviewer said that only 300 people showed up at a 4000 seat arena.

In my opinion that is a dismal turnout for just one performance but he took this on the road and did better in other places.
