Artaud A+, Corti D-,
This review is from: The Theatre and Its Double (New Paris Editions) (Paperback)
Artaud is fascinating, a definite must-read for any theatre student. Corti's translation does not give the text justice, however. It lacks the 'Conquest of Mexico' text in the Second Manifesto, and because his translations differ from earlier editions, it is difficult to follow with students using other editions.Though my biggest complaint is with the lack of the 'Conquest', purchasers should be aware of whether their copy is going to have all of the information they are looking for.
