5.0 out of 5 stars A detailed look at London Theatre histories and productions, February 22, 1999

This review is from: The Theatres of London: (Hardcover)
First published in 1961, updated through several editions, this book is a detailed survey of the history and repertories of the London theatres, originally written in collaberation with Joe Mitchenson. Excellent pen and ink drawings illustrate some of the architectural and historical notes in the text. Names of headline performers in the lengthy list of productions for each theatre are noted. We want this book updated to 1998 - it's the best of its kind.
