One of the best vocal groups from the east coast that treated a "standard" as only the Duprees could. Their combination of vocal group harmony along with big band orchestrations is a perfect match. All their hits are on this disc and then some, and the best part is you get to hear your favorites in true stereo. Thirty one songs, and every one of them a killer. I have two favorites on this disc, a hit they had in '62 called "I Wish I Could Believe You", and another song that was actually the B side to "My Own True Love" titled "Ginny", it's one fantastic doo wop ballad. If you want to add all the Duprees hits to your collection get this disc.

I looked and looked on the internet and this is where I landed. This is one great cd. As usual ACE does a superb remastering job. If you see ACE snap it up. Most songs are in stereo. The mono ones sound as good as the stereo ones. Every song is clear as a bell. I don't know where ACE gets their source tapes but these are superb. Forget the 75 clams they want for the Rhino cd. Rhino puts out great cds but ACE is as good if not better. You'll be 100% satisfied with this cd. Guaranteed!!!!!

The great hits are there, as well as other good 50s-60s dancing music. I don't remember hearing Have you Heard or You Belong to Me in my favorite movie, American Graffiti, but it should have been.

Every Duprees fan should have a copy of this CD. I love the harmony and the big band sound that are a trademark of all the Duprees' music. There were a few songs on the CD that I had not had the opportunity to hear before. Now, some of them have become new favorites: Ginny, Gone with the Wind, The Sand and the Sea, Where are you, I'm Yours, just to name a few. This CD is a timeless classic that will never grow old. I listen to it every week. Duprees fans, buy it! You will not be disappointed.

The Duprees rerecorded many well known successful ballads of the 1940s and 1950s. Their versions set the tunes to a pleasant rock beat and added their multipart harmony. They remind me of the Four Aces. The Coed Masters album includes more of their besst efforts than any other. If you like that style, you should enjoy this album.

Here is absolute perfection in oldies. So many things came together here. 31 songs of heartfelt love performed with the greatest of sincerety. Here is a seamless merging of the swing orchestra sound combined with rock beat & high energy doo-wop vocals and soaring crescendos by the lead singer Joey Vann (aka Joey Canzano). On this one great "Ace Records" disk are all of the Duprees "Coed Records" recordings remastered. The Duprees hold a very special place in music history & this is a collectors item!
