Informative but mislabled,

This review is from: Their Finest Hour: The R.A.F. & the Battle of Britain (DVD)
By looking at the cover of this DVD you are led to believe that this is the story of the Battle of Britain. Not so - this is the story of the Royal Air Force from it's beginnings in World World I to the present. About ten minutes is devoted to the Battle of Britain. While I found the DVD to be informative I found the title misleading since I was looking for a history of the Battle of Britain on DVD.

Beware of the misleading title! This DVD narrates the history of the Royal Air Force from World War I to the present. The 1940 crucial "Battle of Britain" is evoqued only during a few minutes of this 94 minutes feature. Once you get over your initial disappointment, it's a good documentary. It shows interesting footage of the fighters and bombers used by the R.A.F. through the years. Any plane-lover will enjoy that. But I do feel a bit cheated. This DVD was released in 2000, the year of the 60th anniversary of the "Battle of Britain". I guess it explains the misleading title. The company wanted to take advantage of the celebration of that historical event.
