Review

A wonderful book! I was fascinated to read the conventional and unconventional methods of successful therapists who use their intuition, creativity, and humanity rather than just their training. --Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., author of Getting the Love You Want: A Guide for Couples --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes for some fine reading hours, December 30, 2006

This review is from: Their Finest Hour: Master Therapists Share Their Greatest Success Stories (Paperback)
Interesting therapeutic stories presented in the same tradition, and by the same authors, as The Mummy at the Dining Room Table. Again, and perhaps unbeknownst to the individual therapists, the theory and technique do not even begin to compete with the healing relationship between therapist and client which is the true source of these "finest" outcomes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Famous Therapists with the Common Touch, September 9, 2008
By

(REAL NAME)
Twenty nine famous therapists select their one favourite case from a life time's experience. Forget about a "One Size Fits All" approach! It is the variety & the uniqueness of each approach that makes the book so interesting.

Each therapist responds uniquely to his client's cry for help. They grapple with challenges and come up with unexpected solutions by using their ingenuity, intuition, simple humanity, common sense, passion & daring.

Without exception, the stories are touching and easy to understand. It makes one sceptical about complex psychological theories that are difficult to comprehend! The stories speak eloquently of respect & and a remarkable capacity to care for their fellow travellers on Life's rocky road.
