We got this book as an idea for bedtime reading for our 2.5-year-old, but as it has few pictures, and she isn't quite able to lay in bed and simply listen yet. So we must put this to the side when bedtime comes, and pull out William J. Bennet's "The Children's Book of Virtues." I have read it out loud to her as she plays with her figures on the floor, for example, and as the stories average about a page and a half in length, it's short enough that she can keep the overall picture in mind. Add to this, we give effort to do different voices for different people and she listens attentively to these stories. Robin Williams I am not, but I try and have fun doing so. Currently, all stories with mention of guardian angels are high upon her list.
