4.0 out of 5 stars This book is a must have for any avid horror/Johnstone fan!!
Them is classic Johnstone! It is very easy reading and once you start it is hard to put down. It has all the monsters(both human and nonhuman), sex and violence that one comes to expect in Johnstone's tales of horror.

There is solace in knowing that at age 55 I have the worst book of my reading life out of the way. Stylistically it is inconsistent at best, sophomoric more frequently. It sensationalizes topics of prurient interests. Johnstone's "work" is an offense to serious and significant science fiction, immediately anthropomorphizing the "aliens," trivializing moral concerns,...

It sensationalizes topics of prurient interests. Johnstone's "work" is an offense to serious and significant science fiction, immediately anthropomorphizing the "aliens," trivializing moral concerns, violating constancy of character, and trampling reader reaction. I'd flunk any freshman of mine who wrote this tripe.
