5.0 out of 5 stars Classic material from a very special time
Okay, you can listen to that other clueless dude from Toronto, or you can listen to me, Hip Hop Connoiseur who was born and lived his whole life in Brooklyn, New York and followed Hip Hop since 1982.

When the Legion dropped in 1994, it was some downright nasty new material. This is vintage Hip Hop out of the Uptown and Bronx area of NYC. When I first heard...

1.0 out of 5 stars Who are these guys?
and why does Black Sheep back them? I have no idea.

The first time I heard The Legion was on the Black Sheep track "We Boys" off their "Non-Fiction" album. They were aaaiiight...nothing special. When I randomly found this album, I saw that they had tracks w/ Black Sheep, Chi Ali ("Who's it on, pt. II") & Showbiz & A.G. ("Who's it on, pt. I") so I decided to...

When I first heard Jingle Jangle in 1994, I wasn't crazy about it, but a lot of my friends were loving it. So I listened some more, and before you knew it I was hooked.

This is by no means some commercial G Unit radio play material; this is what it is: that classic 1994 Bronx sound.

this is one of the best albums in hip hop PERIOD. every song is hot. BLACK SHEEP BROUGHT THEM OUT AND THEY ARE GREAT. chi-ali(one of the young rappers of his time) , dennis scott ,black sheep and droopy dog a just a few people making appearances.trust me this is worth every penny.

and why does Black Sheep back them? I have no idea.

The first time I heard The Legion was on the Black Sheep track "We Boys" off their "Non-Fiction" album. They were aaaiiight...nothing special. When I randomly found this album, I saw that they had tracks w/ Black Sheep, Chi Ali ("Who's it on, pt. II") & Showbiz & A.G. ("Who's it on, pt. I") so I decided to give them a chance.

The Legion consists of: Cee Low, Molecules & Chucky Smash. I don't know who's who & I don't care. They're, in so many words, terrible MC's. Pretty much, if they weren't boys w/ Black Sheep, this album never would have been made.

Almost all the tracks are produced by The Legion, a few by Mista Lawnge (Black Sheep) and one by Showbiz. Pretty much all the tracks The Legion produced are garbage. Even the tracks produced by the dope-ass Lawnge-one were rhymed over so badly, it became unbearable. Sadly, the two promising posse-cuts I mentioned above aren't very good at all.

I don't care what you hear about this album, trust me & avoid it. There's a good reason why nobody knows who these guys are...let's collectively keep it that way.

Bottom Line: If I can remember where I bought this piece of crap, I'd try to get my money back. 1 pathetic star, Peace.
