I'm not entirely clear on the provenance of this disc - it was probably a promo of some sort - put out by Columbia Legacy, but it's the real deal - the actual show with Bob doing his masterful play-by-play commentary between the tracks.

As far as I can tell this is the only legitimately released version of the full show with Bob's announcing (though copious bootlegs exist if you know where to look) - i hope we see more

I loved the theme time radio show .
I do get so upset that Mr Dylans theme time radio show
cd's are just the songs that he plays on the show. I would love to have copies of the whole shows with
Mr Dylans dj ing..

I have listened to many of the Theme Time Radio series and I think they're great. Even Dylan's patter lends to the enjoyment. I have bought a handful of discs comprising of songs taken from the series and have played them often. This one fails. Mainly because the songs are weak. Perhaps to stick close to the theme they had to follow this path, but I doubt it. Missing are the likes of "Mrs. Robinson", Terry Cashman's array of baseball songs, a couple of good baseball themed songs by the Baseball Project, Mike Plume's very good "Dimaggio" and Todd Snider's superior "Dock Ellis". There are more.
Why they chose this as the only officially released complete show is puzzling.

If you're a person who uses Shuffle Play on your MP3 player, you need to know that this CD is banded as one continuous track - not individual songs. That's enought for me to give it one star.
