This review is from: Themes in Contemporary Art (Art of the Twentieth Century) (Paperback)
While I bought this book for a class, I am very pleased with most aspects of it. The contents are comprehensive and help me to get an idea of the advertised themes, which I must be familiar with for a large research project. Most of the essays or chapters are interesting. The cover is a lovely conversation piece. My only negative critique is that the organization could be better executed. Perhaps it cannot be done, but I would like to see greater distinction between different periods of the different art movements.
