Samatha is the oldest daughter of five time widowed Eve Hairston. The girl is a brown brick house. She is loved by all the men and hated by most of the women in her town. Sam is the spitting image of Eva 19 years ago. Sam makes the worst mistake of her life when she becoming pregnant by Blaine Pearson. Blaine is white. All hell breaks loose when the members of the town discover that Sam has a baby by Blaine.

Eve has four other daughters who make her life very different than the avearge mother.Eve was a victim of incest as a young girl. One of the perpetrators made an appearance and got a rude awakening. This book has everything a person could imagaine in a story and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spellbound!, August 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Them's Eve's Daughter's (Spiral-bound)
I've never been so spellbound while reading a book. My wife told me I would like this book and I'm glad I listened to her, for once. I couldn't put this book down. I didn't want to put it down. The passion and flavor in this book is so real. I could see the characters; I could feel the kiss; I could taste the food. Congratulations ma'am, you have a fan. I'm going to order Letters, then Cousins so we can read them together. This is another thing my wife and I can share. Thanks for helping us bond.

This book sticks with you after you put it down. I could feel the romance jumping off of the pages! I've never been one for inter-racial relationships, but this love see's no color!
