The first time I listened to the album I became hooked. THEN COMES THE SUN has brought peace and calm to my life and I am forever in debt for the solace she has granted me through her music. I have felt emotions and been brought to tears by the sense of freedom and acceptance I get from listening to this album. Although the album is slightly expensive, what you get from listening to it is worth so much more.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Then Comes the Sun (Audio CD)
This CD is amazing. If you prefer music stylists who have beautiful vocals then this is the cd for you. It completely blew me away. I love every single one of the songs. Elisa sings them with such emotion and grace that you can really feel the meaning of each song. My favorites were "Heaven out of Hell", "Rock your Soul, "Fever", and "It is What is".

If you want to view elisa's web page go to www.elisaweb.net. It is in Italian but you can click on "Discographia" and play some of her songs in Windows Media Player. You can translate the page to English through google!

Hope my review helped...and BUY THE CD!!! IT IS SOOO UNBELIEVABLE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock Your Soul, November 27, 2005
This review is from: Then Comes the Sun (Audio CD)

Elisa is one of the most talented singers/song writers/musicians of her generation. "Then Comes the Sun" doesn't fail to deliver truly heart-moving and thought provoking songs - all of them are just beautiful. If I were to choose some of the best European artists that deserve an international career, Elisa would be at the top of my list. Just let her rock your soul!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Album, May 8, 2003
By
This review is from: Then Comes the Sun (Audio CD)
Then Comes The Sun is great album. As fan of all types of music from different eras, Then Comes The Sun is one of my all time favorites. The artist responsible, Elisa, a multi-talented singer-song writer is a unique individual in these days of "studio produced artists".

The album has some great songs like Rainbow, Heaven Out Of Hell, and A Little Over Zero, as well as songs with a spiritual feel to them like Fairy Girl and It Is What It Is.

If you are tired of hearing those "mindless so called artists" like Britney, Christina, etc., then check this album out and listen to a true artist with real talent. Elisa will "rock your soul".

I'm in love with elisa from her first lp coming out in italy, but this album has really surfaced all my expectations. It's so fab. maybe the best album i've ever listened.
Her fantastic voice melts between the sublime and divine.
Definitely it's an album everyone should listen to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love her!!!, July 13, 2007
This review is from: Then Comes The Sun (Audio CD)
A few years ago a friend shared a song of Elisa's with me during a really difficult time and I loved it. Recently I was watching one of my favorite shows "Dancing with the Stars" and one of the girls was auditioning to Elisa's song "Rock Your Soul" and of course they didn't name the song so I had to go by the lyrics and then try to find it. I was so excited to find the song as well as finding out it was the same person that my friend had shared and the same CD so I ended up purchasing it.

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing!!! Thanks Elisa!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Undoubtedly the Best Album, February 10, 2004

I love this album. I first heard 'Dancing' a year or two ago when I was going through depression. I bought the album soon after and cried over it many times. Now it brings back memories, some good, and some bad.

Elisa's voice is very different from the people we hear here in England, where pop seems to be very much the thing. It's a refreshing change and takes you somewhere else. Away from it all. It's slightly annoying that it's expensive to get the albums over here, but worth every penny.

My only advice would be to buy this album.

i think that elisa is unique in her way to do music, her voice, her melody, but first her words.she is italian ,as me,but she has decided to sing in english.this is her third album, before of this she has published "pipes and flowers","asile's world",both beautiful.in a little time she debut also in the u.s.a.,about 17th of april.so i hope that
she will have many sucess and will give a little bit of very good music at a nation that in which people as britney spears
have sucess, and thet in comparison with elisa and her voice disappear.

The first song rainbow is absolutely beautiful. Her voice carries a lot of emotions. The rest of the albums are generally good with exception of a few songs. If you like Dido, Sarah McLachlan, you'll enjoy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Angelic and tranquil, a blessed album from a true phenomenon..., August 16, 2007

(VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Then Comes the Sun (Audio CD)
Elisa's beautiful album `The Comes the Sun' shows so much progression from her earlier works she almost comes off as a brand new artist. Her voice is so elegant and sophisticated here, lace with that raw breathlessness that helps establish her emotions, delving into our person and giving us haunting lyrics that break us down and then build us up. What I guess I'm trying to say is that what Elisa has accomplished here is moments of pure emotional captivity. The listener gets lost within her music, within her expression and ultimately within her soul. We can feel her, every inch of her, and that is pretty much all we can ever ask of a particular artist. Engulf us in your vision and move us to feel something. Elisa does just that with just about every cut on this album.

She starts off very strong with `Rainbows', delivering a powerful chorus that cuts right through us. She moves right along into `Heaven out of Hell' which is a bit softer than her opening, a bit more commercial. Her pre-chorus is really what makes the song, multiple voices overlapping one another and creating an angelic vocal. She also attempts a sort of rap towards the end that surprisingly comes off well. The third track is really what makes this album an ultimate must have. `Dancing' is probably one of the most emotionally moving songs I've ever heard. It brought me to tears the first time I heard its majesty and its one song that I listen to again and again. The piano matches her voice brilliantly and the chorus just sends chills up and down my spine. As the song reaches its climax and her voice rises with the music it transcends its powerful presence to an even higher realm of brilliance.

With `Fever' she breaks away from the ballad and takes on a more rock edge, Paula Cole`ish' maybe. It works for the most part, but I must admit to preferring her ballad work. Thankfully she, for the most part, sticks to the songs that really amplify her angelic voice. We find her breaking the mold with the track `Time' where she tries her hand at an almost techno club type track, and sadly I must warn that this track is a complete mess. Thankfully not every venture for her is a misstep. With `It is What it Is' she finally masters melding her beautiful voice with the harsher music, the pulsing beats and makes up for the mess that is `Time'.

But, like I mentioned, her ballad work is the real beauty of this album. In `Stranger' she proves this ten times over. Her vocals within her chorus are just breathtaking. This love song is aided by the near yodel in her voice which helps elevate it as one of the more memorable songs. `Rock Your Soul' is another track that stands out. Her voice is so soothing here, and the lyrics are very tranquil and moving. It's a very beautiful song. Speaking of beautiful, `A Little Over Zero' is just so serene and peaceful, from the musical arrangement to the silky smooth delivery in her voice. It's definitely one of the most impressive tracks here. `Fairy Girl' is soft and sweet while `Simplicity' closes out the album flawlessly, but it's `Window' that I want to make special mention of for it's one of those tracks that really allows Elisa's voice to soar brilliantly.

So, in the end I just can't recommend enough this brilliant album. It is not flawless, for there are one or two tracks that are less than perfect, but when the balance of the album is as good as this is you easily forget the low spots.
