If you're a John Elway fanatic (and let's face it, aren't we all) be warned that, although Morton mentions Elway often and always in the context of being the best there ever was, there is no detailed conversation recounted.
I expected, when buying this book that there would be interactive conversational memories, it's really a Craig Morton biography with short reviews of all the Broncos with which he played as well as some he watched. All that said, I'm glad I bought it, the book is fun and an easy read. Morton does discuss players, Denver and the NFL. He's relentlessly upbeat and shows respect without appearing to be fawning. If you're a "hard core" fan and not just on board since the 1983 draft, this book is for you. |
