Book Description

November 5, 1999
The Bobgans demonstrate that TheoPhostic counseling is the result of many existent psychological therapies, including psychoanalytic, Eye Movement Desinsitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and cognitive-behavioral therapies. They also show that it includes dangerous elements from the inner healing movement, such as guided imagery, visualization, and hypnosis. They present their concerns about this form of counseling and concluded that it originated from the perverted wisdom of men rather than from the mind of God.

5.0 out of 5 stars this exposes the TRUTH!!, March 10, 2008

My son went to a Theophostic Counselor and that started the nightmare for us, his parents. In our opinion, we believe it opened the door to accusing evil spirits and by the power of suggestion, he was possibly hypnotized by the counselor. This book is a good book to expose the truth. The devil can put lies into your memory and Theophostics, in our opinion, is just a gimmick or twist on phychology. We believe it hides under "prayer ministry!" Sadly,We know the truth from the fruits that theophostics produced. Read this book and perhaps it will save you from the heartache we have experienced! Also, I got a better understanding after I read their book called "The End of Christian Psychology", which I read first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Theophostic -- Unbiblical, December 5, 2003
By
Sara (Durham, NC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: TheoPhostic Counseling: Divine Revelation or PsychoHeresy? (Paperback)
This book was wonderful. Finally, someone is courageous enough to stand up and say something about TheoPhostic and other unbiblical counseling ministries. I have read both this book and the "training" materials for Theophostic. Theophostic is unbiblical and so is James Dobson at times. Bobgan isn't attcking these people. he is simply being bold and trying to point out and warn people that they might be false teachers. An endevor we (Bible-believing Christians) should seek to do!

1.0 out of 5 stars Total Misrepresentation of Theophostic Ministry, September 16, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: TheoPhostic Counseling: Divine Revelation or PsychoHeresy? (Paperback)
This book has a clear agenda. He is against anything that is psychological. It is very bias and totally off course. He also attacks men such as James Dobson and Focus on the Family. Theophostic Ministry has worked for me and my family and is all about the Lord. DO not waste your time reading this one. Read the primary source "Healing Life's Deepest Hurts" by Dr. Ed M. Smith.
