Good job by the Lemon Divsion of Cherry Red,

This cd has been out of print for years and while always nice to have the original, this new edition with bonus tracks is well worth the money spent. Despite other cd's reissued by Cherry Red with very POOR remastering, the Lemon Division of Cherry Red did a great job on this one (are they really one in the same?). All tracks sound nice, crisp, clean and clear. Pick this one up and enjoy! Lets hope future reissues will have this same quality.

Suprised to see this deservedly reissued; The Adventures aren't exactly a household name anywhere. Another band with so much potential, but a combination of poor marketing and underexposure doomed them to relative obscurity outside of their mildly succesful Broken Land. While Theodore and Friends is striking...Send My Heart is a masterpiece...even garnering a rave review on All Music Guide...and the bonus material is welcomed (especially the breezy B side Tristesse En Vitesse), I think Cherry Red struck out by not including the better versions of some key tracks from the US self titled release LP. Those versions of Send My Heart and the amazing When the World Turns Upside Down are vastly superior to the ones found here. Still, the swirling Another Silent Day and the poppy Two Rivers and Feel the Raindrops add sparkle to this old friend. While it's refreshing to not have to dish out close to 100 bucks for this CD anymore, I still pine for a digital release of their US vinyl debut.

This great piece of new wave is being reissued in July or August of 2009 by Lemon Records (the listing is already here on amazon), and will be loaded with bonus tracks--extended mixes and b-sides. No need to pay any thief 250 dollars for the old 10 track version!!!
