Better then Nickelback,

I remember the first time I heard Theory of a Deadman. At first, I thought it was Nickelback but it had a different sound to it. It wasn't Chad Kroeger, but I liked it alot. I got the album when it came out and I absolutly fell in love with this music. The songs just never get boring and I have probably have listened to the album a million times. I can say one thing, that I'm right pumped for Gasoline to come out. I'll be the first in line to pick up another great piece of work. Great Job, Theory of a Deadman!!!

This is simply (as I put it) bare-bone flat Nickelback clone,

They're worst off than Default and shame on Nickelback for a lackluster release. 'eesh. Better stick with Default's releases and 'back's releases (both classically) for my sake or anyone's sake. Talent's there but where's originality? Pass.

Suprisingly Great,

As probably everybody has heard by now, this is the newest band on Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger's new label. Don't let that mislead you though, these guys are not just another Nickelback. Unlike Fred Durst, who signed the grunge-era rip-off band Puddle of Mudd, Mr. Kroeger actually did a decent job here of picking these guys. This Vancouver-based group have really got something good here. In short, the album kicks-ass. Although this CD is shorter than I typically would like to see (running only 37 minutes) it is packed with great riffs, catchy tunes, and unique talented vocals. And as with any band that I really enjoy, there's a solid performance from the rhythm section. Hell, without a good rhythm section, even the most melodic guitaris is doomed, but not to worry, this band has both. From strong catchy tunes like "Nothing Can Come Between Us" to the hilarious rants of "Confession", this is one of the best albums I've heard in a while, and well worth it's purchase price.

Maximum power,

I played that CD at least 300 times since I have it. I thought that Nickelback was a pretty good band... it is. But Theory's music is so much more brillant. It's not just noise, it's a brillant arrangement of powerful rhythms that will supercharge yourself.I bought 3 CDs. I kept one and gave the 2 others to best friends for their birthday. Theory is the future. We'll hear about them.

I'm usually a critic of rock, but since I heard this album, I'm always trying to find more like it. If you've heard Nickelback and liked them, this is the next CD for you! Theory of a Deadman worked with Nickelback to make this CD which is one of the reasons why it's so good. This CD included the 2 hits "Invisible Man" from the movie "Spider Man" and the other hit "Nothing Could Come Between Us." Did you also know the song "Hero" by Chad Kroeger in the Spiderman movie, Tyler Connoly (Lead of Theory of a Deadman)played guitar in it? Yeah, it's true. So the bottom line is: These guys are pretty much as good as Nickelback! GO BUY THIS CD IF YOU LIKE ROCK!

The Talent is there, no question about it. But something, I'm not exactly sure what it is, is missing. Perhaps it's the lack of passion, the less than superb production, I'm not sure. Or, perhaps I simply have tainted ears of just how good these guys are from their album "Scars and Souvenirs" which is one of the best albums I have and then purchasing this one.
Theory of a Deadman is a fantastic band I just don't think this album is a great depiction of how good they really are. Regardless, this piece is still worth getting if you like the Theory!

Nickelback clones,

i'm sorry. its obvious that these guys have a lot of talent. BUT, their songs make them sound like Nickelback clones. That is actually what I call them, cuz i can never remember their name. anyway. they are good. but they need to find their own direction.
